Privacy Policy
Who this covers
Vector Capital Strategies is a brand operated by BooztBrand Inc.. It is not a separate legal entity. BooztBrand Inc. is a Canadian corporation, and it is the organization accountable for all personal information described in this policy.
This policy describes how BooztBrand Inc. (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information through vectorcapitalstrategies.com, our booking pages, our marketing emails, and our advertising on third-party platforms. It applies to prospective clients, clients, and site visitors.
It does not cover personal information we process on behalf of a client as part of a marketing engagement. Where a sponsor engages us to run campaigns and we handle their investor or prospect data, we act as a service provider or processor under that client’s own privacy policy and our written agreement with them. Questions about that data should go to the client who collected it.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Identity and contact details: name, business email, telephone number, firm name, and job title.
- Engagement context you choose to share when booking or on a call: your raise size, asset class, target investor profile, current marketing activity, and timeline.
- Correspondence: emails, form submissions, SMS messages, and notes taken during calls.
- Scheduling data when you book an assessment, including the time slot selected and any answers to intake questions.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, links clicked, and form interactions.
- Identifiers set by cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, described in Section 4.
Information from third parties
- Advertising and analytics platforms, which report campaign and audience data to us.
- Professional network and enrichment sources, where a business contact’s role or firm is publicly listed.
- Referrals, where an existing client or partner introduces you.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, government identifiers, financial account numbers, or accredited-investor verification documents through this website. Please do not send them to us.
Why we use it
- To schedule, prepare for, and follow up on a Capital Raise Assessment.
- To respond to enquiries and to provide services under a client agreement.
- To send marketing communications about our services, where permitted, and to measure whether they worked.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website, and to diagnose technical problems.
- To measure and improve advertising, including building audiences of similar business contacts.
- To keep records, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for business-to-business marketing and site analytics, on contract performance for delivering services, on consent where we ask for it, and on legal obligation where the law requires retention.
Cookies, pixels, and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site and booking widget function. We also use analytics and advertising technologies that set identifiers in your browser, which currently include:
- Google Analytics 4, for aggregate traffic and behaviour reporting.
- Meta Pixel, for advertising measurement and audience building on Facebook and Instagram.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag, for advertising measurement on LinkedIn.
- HighLevel (LeadConnector), which hosts this site, our forms, our booking calendar, and our CRM.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the platforms above or through industry tools such as the DAA and NAI opt-out pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the booking calendar from loading.
Before launch: confirm this list matches the tags actually installed in HighLevel and Tag Manager. If you add a tool, add it here. If you run ads to visitors in California, Colorado, Connecticut, or the EU or UK, you also need a consent banner wired to these tags.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information for money. We share it with:
- Service providers who host, process, or support our operations under contract, including our website and CRM platform, email and SMS providers, calendar and meeting tools, call recording and transcription tools, cloud storage, and analytics providers.
- Advertising platforms, where identifiers or hashed contact details are shared to measure campaigns or build audiences. Under some state laws this counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising even though no money changes hands. See Section 7 for how to opt out.
- Professional advisers, such as counsel and accountants, where needed.
- Acquirers, in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose or must protect our rights.
We do not share your information with other clients, and we do not disclose which sponsors we work with beyond what those clients have agreed to publish.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and prospect records for 24 months from last contact, client engagement records for 7 years after the engagement ends, and financial records for the period required by law. Call recordings and transcripts are kept for 24 months. Aggregate analytics data that no longer identifies you may be retained indefinitely.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, to opt out of targeted advertising or of any “sale” or “sharing,” to limit the use of sensitive information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights. Residents of the EEA or the UK have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to complain to a supervisory authority.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authority.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message, and stop SMS by replying STOP. Transactional messages about a booked meeting are not marketing and will continue.
PIPEDA and CASL
BooztBrand Inc. is a Canadian organization subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, to provincial privacy legislation. The following applies in addition to the rights described in Section 7.
Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, express or implied, and only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. We identify those purposes at or before collection. You may withdraw consent at any time on reasonable notice, subject to legal and contractual restrictions; withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service to you. To withdraw consent, email our Privacy Officer at the address in Section 10.
Accountability
BooztBrand Inc. has designated a Privacy Officer accountable for our compliance with this policy. The Privacy Officer can be reached at [email protected], and we will identify them by name on request. We remain accountable for personal information transferred to a third party for processing, and we require those parties by contract to provide a comparable level of protection.
Storage and access outside Canada
Our website, CRM, advertising, analytics, email, calendar, and call-recording providers are located primarily in the United States. Your personal information is therefore stored and processed outside Canada, and while it is in a foreign jurisdiction it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by that country’s courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. By using this Site you acknowledge this transfer.
Access, correction, and complaints
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete. We will respond within thirty days or tell you why we need longer. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information or your request, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or to your provincial privacy commissioner where one has jurisdiction.
Commercial electronic messages (CASL)
We send commercial electronic messages only where we have your express or implied consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Every commercial message we send identifies BooztBrand Inc., states how to reach us, and contains an unsubscribe mechanism that stays active for at least sixty days after the message is sent. We action unsubscribe requests within ten business days. Transactional messages confirming a meeting you booked are not commercial electronic messages and will continue.
Operational note, two parts.
Consent records. CASL requires records proving consent for every contact you email or text, including when and how it was obtained. Confirm HighLevel is logging consent source and timestamp before any cold outreach runs from a Canadian entity. Penalties are assessed per message.
Mailing address. CASL also requires every commercial electronic message to carry the sender’s physical mailing address. This is mandatory and cannot be satisfied by an email address or phone number alone. Where a message is too short to carry it, such as SMS, the message must link to a readily accessible web page that does. A commercial mailbox or virtual office address satisfies this; a home address is not required, and publishing one is not advisable.
Security, transfers, children, and changes
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
BooztBrand Inc. operates from Ontario, Canada. Our service providers process personal information in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. See Section 8 for what that means for Canadian residents. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
This site is aimed at businesses and professional investors. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date, and where required we will notify you directly.
